I managed to keep it under $8300.00 during 2018. Nearly half of that number was non-audio related electronics in the form of an HP Spectre X360 15t laptop, a Uniden R3 Radar detector, a Samsung S9 cellphone, a BlackVue DR900S-2CH Dash Cam, 2 - Samsung solid state drives (500 mg and 1TB), and a Samsung Galaxy Watch. Total $4080.00.
Audio related items purchased in 2018 were an APC Smart-UPS C battery backup, a JA Michell turntable drive belt, 2 - Oppo UDP-203 4K Blue-ray players, a Revox B77 Mk2 pinch roller, a Wireworld .5 meter Gold Starlight AES/EBU digital cable, a Simaudio Moon Neo 260-DT transport, and a Sony XBR55X900E 4K TV for the studio. Total $4215.00. As audio related items go, that is a huge slow down from many previous years. Looking at these numbers I have to admit I am proud of myself for keeping a semblance of a lid on extraneous spending.

Had a midlife crisis. Sold / traded all of my system except the sources - bye bye ARC ref level amps and Sonus speakers.I've had ARC in some way for about 20 years so it was a major wrench. But I had an itch which I wanted to scratch so I did. I've had no music for some months now waiting for things to be built to order. But I have a large pile of new music to listen to when I'm finally set up again.

I made some upgrades to the headphone system - a new THX AAA 789 headphone amp and a new Wireworld Nano-Platinum Eclipse solid Silver cable. That combo took the LCD-4’s to a new level.
I also re-tubed the MC 275V.

My 2018 started off when I moved from my original Momentums to the M-400's. Next was upgrading from the dCS Rossini and clock to a Vivaldi stack consisting of DAC, Upsampler and clock. I think the last move was moving to Transparent Opus power cords on the amps.

For 2018 it was banner year for me, I bought the matching Bryston Mini-T center channel,
Upgraded all of my interconnects to AQ and WW, and acquired a Dynaco ST-35 with high end caps and matched tubes.

My Audio 2018 started with the purchase of a McIntosh C-1100 and the quick replacement of the output tubes with new Goldlions.
After that, it became a year of refinement for me. A few cables - with the recent Shunyata Alpha Clock 75 being the highlight, Stillpoint Minis, Ultra SS and Aperture panels rounded things out. The year ended with the purchase of a Cybershaft Limited 2 OP17 Master Clock. Looking forward to things settling down.
