Do you power your equipment down everyday?
My first foray into higher end audio was a McIntosh MC275 tube amp. I always powered this down between usages, but in my conversations with Ivan, I learned he generally left components such as pre-amp, clocks, power conditioners on 24/7.
I have moved over to the Mc1.2kw amps, but out of habit I still power these down and leave everything else on except for the phono stage and ADS for the VPI turntable. Should I be leaving the amps on? I listen everyday. Is the wear and tear of turning the amps on and off worse than leaving them on? What say you?

I power down except digital. My phono pre and line stage are tubes so I definitely power them down. I am not around enough to keep my amps powered up 24/7. Too many things can go wrong with the power company and weather for me to be comfortable.

I power down everything including the P10 power unit. I do live in a area with monthly power outages at best and lightning very often too.

I shut my power amp off at the end of the day. Digital just goes into standby.

Living room system: Aurender N100H, Schiit Audio Yggdrasil DAC, and Simaudio MOON 260D transport left on 24/7, everything else turned off when not listening.
