Meet The New Ride
After much discussion back and forth, the Mrs. & I agreed that we were not going to replace our older travel trailer.
In fact, we decided we were done with the RV adventure all together. What we did decide on was that we'd like to join our friends and neighbors on their desert adventures and old mining camp trail rides. That meant that there was no reason to hang on to the Ram 2500 pickup. It was a great truck but not well suited for the uses we had in mind. While the Mrs. was sojurning in Hawaii last week I decided to take advantage of my free time and go shopping. I found what I wanted after driving 7 or 8 vehicles and made the deal. Here is the trade-in: And here is the new ride: We will be off on some new adventures soon. I can't wait for our first topless run.

Congrats Michael! It doesn't get much better than a Wrangler for off-road adventures. They are addicting and fun to drive even on pavement as a daily. (I am a 2020 Rubicon owner)

Congrats! I considered to buy Wrangler with 2.0 Turbo, but it was about 60 000 USD in Ukraine.

Great choice for your intended use.
On one of my bicycling trips in CO we rented a Jeep in Silverton and were given a map with the mining road/trails from Silverton to the east & north. What a great day. We drove up one trail that was wall-to-wall boulders from 1-4 feet in size and did so in low-range, 1st gear. We took a break for lunch at the top (a large cooler with plenty of liquids (read beer) and sandwich material is useful). We heard another vehicle coming up the same trail behind us and it was making a huge amount of noise. When it arrived it was a diesel powered Ford F-350, 4-door, dually with a camper in the bed, a wife and 5 kids. They were having every bit as much fun as we were. Enjoy. Am guessing it will be a hoot around where you live.

We are looking forward to finding the old mining trails and ghost towns out here.
We have an outing planned for this Sunday so we'll test the Jeep out a little bit. I have my recovery kit loaded up and I mounted the hi-lift jack holder to the roll cage rear crossbar so we should have what we need. Who knows...after a few trips I'll need to do some trail worthy mods to it.
