Mike.......I have not heard either pair of those headphones. I don't believe you will have any issues driving them. The X-Can has plenty of power.
The Philips JAN tubes were not ECC88 tubes.

Mike.......No. I unplug the power supply socket from the back of the X-Can when I am not using it. No point in putting hours on the tubes for nothing, even if the tubes do last 8000 to 10,000 hours. When I plan to use the amp I plug it in about 30 minutes before I start listening to give the tubes plenty of time to warm up.
I am happy you decided to give the X-Can a try. It is a very clean and natural sounding headphone amplifier.
