Dan...great to read your follow up review & the extra time taken to perform some isolation testing, especially with stock power cords! Very interesting.

This product is like a lens, it magnifies the benefits of what you already have.

It also demonstrates how important clean power is to amplifiers in particular. Based on both of our experiences, it is evident that McIntosh amplifiers are very true to their power source & that their performance potential can be compromised with an untreated power feed.

A wise audiophile recently told me that, "our sensory interpretation of sound & harmony is still beyond our entire physical understanding. Despite our ingenuity & achievements, what was never completed in the 1930s needs to be revisited again. We need to go back to the basics to rediscover what was lost & what hasn't yet been found".

I think that the application of the Flux-50 package goes quite a way in the right direction.

Steve.......I don't believe it is proprietary to just McIntosh and I know you aren't saying that, but I am positive from my personal experience with many different McIntosh amplifiers that clean power is essential. I have heard it repeated, although I don't know it to be fact, that Ron-C has commented that anything other than a McIntosh stock power cord is unnecessary. That definitely does not reflect my experiences. I want to believe that Ron-C didn't really say that or believe it.

I like your comment about the Furutech Flux 50 being a lens that magnifies what is already present. That is an excellent condensed version of what seems to be happening. The better the AC power distribution, the better the Flux 50 performs. I demonstrated that today with the Wireworld Silver Eclipse power cords in and out of the system while using the Flux 50. It is evident that power conditioning effects are cumulative. The Furutech Flux 50 is the icing on the cake in my book.
