I meant the BDP3, but you are mistaken in that the BDP3 does not have a D/A converter. You have to connect it to one.

It may have an extra USB drive, but that too, is not necessary in my opinion. You are correct that wires were crossed.

It is worth noting that USB3 connectors are much better than USB2 due to the additional contact points, and promises better sound quality as a result. It is also the future standard and of course important for Bryston to keep the unit up to date

I think James should break the changes down for us, as the unit also has better processing power as well.

Maybe, Bryston are releasing the BDP-3 because the SBC used in the BDP-2 is becoming end-of life?

As I understand it both the BDP-3 and the BDA3 can utilize MQA.
