Default 40 minutes at home with Michael Fremer

Think you guys will really enjoy this, especially if you're a record collector. Stereophile did a "reviewer" video profile and interviewed Michael Fremer in his man cave, complete with a tour of his system and room. I really enjoy his writing and passion and I think it comes through in the video. He tells several neat stories and shows how he acquired some of his more valuable records. Anyway, it's worth a watch, I enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting Buck. It was a great video. I heard his room was small -- but had no idea why -- until I saw all those album racks.

Having met Mike a couple times at the local musicmatters events, I thoroughly enjoyed the video to see his casual "at home" side. I'm one who appreciates Mikey & what he has contributed to this hobby. He's a card but when it comes to 'working,' IMO, he found himself filling a niche or void & tells it like he hears it. IMO, he was the right guy for it.

In the 50's thru early 80's there were so many pressing plants prevalent & therefore some received better masters or stampers than others pressing the same vinyl. I appreciate his attention to detail in sorting the aforementioned out to recommend a better pressing.

Today, I always looked forward to & will continue enjoying his reviews of new vinyl.

Best Sir,

Bob

I saw it. Very interesting and witty.

I hope that sub-woofer (aka as water heater ) never explodes and flood his "work space".

Ha! that's funny, I was thinking the same exact thing when I saw that! With the amount of $$$ the he has invested in the records and equipment, I would hope he has some kind of failsafe, drain or something in place in case he had an accident with the water heater.

What a messy place...doesn't feel very inviting but it certainly is "his", right? Just the way he likes it.

I like Fremer's personality, never a dull moment. He definitely knows vinyl.

except for the part when he made mock of the stroke victim, I didn't see much humor in that. His overall knowledge on all things electrical is somewhat bizarre when he made the comment about 'all equipment being on one line' ?? Perhaps I misinterpreted it ?

Overall he is an asset to the vinyl community I agree.

Thanks for the link.

I enjoyed the video a lot.

I didn't like the stroke impression either. They should have edited that out.
