It sure does. Joe, did you see the new Nolas ($9,800) that were being demoed at the Newport Show. If you check out TheAudioBeat.com's reporting that I posted in the Newport thread, they look like smaller versions of the Reference line speakers. These are prototypes so they don't have the finalized finishes but I bet you the Ref 75 would be a great companion to these new Nolas. (Nola often demoes their speakers with ARC amplification).

Nolas are usually designed with ARC gear specifically. The Nola Micros I had were designed with the VS60i. Carl loves tube gear.

Clearly.

I wonder how it would compare with the "Kings of MacIntosh 70 / 80 W power amps" : the MC275 and the MC75 monoblocks....
The REF 250's did not impress me at all on the Sashas but there was maybe a set up problem.

Now I see, the ref 150 has a bank of power supply caps mounted on the front chassis to where the front face plate is bolted to.

That is a setup I would love to have right there. Unfortunately, it's about $26k over my budget.

I was at the show and spent a half hour with the Ref 75. If you like current ARC sound, you probably will like this piece. Dynamics and bass seemed excellent on the Sophia 3s.

However, it sounded dry to me in the mids. The build quality was fantastic of course.
