I am sure he will like them, they are fantastic, and for the money, hard to beat.

So I've put about 400 hours or so on them so far , mostly with a c47 / mc452 combo ; and I'm quite pleased. Super punchy and quick. Just ordered a c2600, should be getting it on Wednesday. Paired with the 452, should be sweet !

Congratulations Rhoddog on your nice system. Please provide an update once you have the new preamp on board. I have only 30 hours of play on my Sopra's. Even with this little amount of time, I am hearing a great deal of details that I have not heard from my previous system. All the best...

Which tap do you have them connected to on your mc452?

I can't remember the last time I've posted over here, but have been lurking on and off the past few years. To make long story short, moved down to Houston and got out of AV stuff while I was in a small apartment. Now we're in a large house with plenty of space, so after making my first leap back into HT by completing our movie room, I made big leap into 2 channel today by ordering the Sopra No3s with a Devialet 220. I'll post pics and impressions once they arrive, but I can't wait!

As a bit of background, my old system had Dynaudio C2s and a mix of amplification, from Emotiva mono's, pass x250, and an Octave v70se. I'm expecting this new system to sound a bit different.

Some people saying that sopra is better. Is this possible?

I had home trial of scala v2 and sopra #2 few weeks ago. Scala is definitely more superior.

Scala delivers wider sound stage and the imaging and depth is more superior. The beryllium tweeter of scala is different than sopra. Scala high is so smooth. Not saying sopra high is edgy but in comparison scala is much smoother.
