I received my first WW Super Nova 7 Toslink cables today. They are even more flexible than the previous model, and extremely well made.

Ivan...back in May of 2012, Dan and I had a conversation about an AB comparison between Silver Starlight 6 coaxial cable and Supernova 6 glass toslink.
He did some tests and determined that the Supernova 6 glass toslink was the winner when connected between an mcd1100 and olive 04HD.
it allowed the 24/192 resolution that you can't get from the coaxial output on the Olive.
after speaking with Wireworld, I was told not to buy the Supernova 6 glass toslink because of some manufacturing problems with the ends.
Are these WW Super Nova 7 Toslink cables that you received, the replacement?
are they glass?
If so, I want one!!!
or is there a better choice

Yes, these are the new replacement; all glass.

No better choice I know of.

That was my question as well. I had the previous version of this cable. It sounded very good coming out of an Apple TV.

Sean.......This is the first I have heard about any issue with the ends of the WW Super Nova 6 glass Toslink interconnect. I don't imagine Wireworld would ignore such an issue. I am confident whatever the problem it was remedied quickly. Both of my WW Super Nova glass Toslink interconnects work perfectly between my Sonos ZP90's and the DAC's.

Mine does too. (From cable digicorder into Burmester 061). It was a serious upgrade from my Cambridge Audio cable.

Dan... I'm guessing that the resolution was the cable that Ivan now carries.
when I 1st heard this from "the cable company", who sells cables online and whom I bought all my used cables from, I thought it was false.
then I tried buying from someone local in Boca and was told the same thing.
they reached out to Wireworld and was told that they lost their contact who does the termination process on the glass Toslink cables and they were looking for a company to terminate the new product.
there was a few online companies that were still selling the supernova 6 and telling people that they were a new batch using a new termination process.
my belief was that they were stuck with inventory and being dishonest.
I'm glad the 7 is available now.
and of course this could all be hearsay.... but I don't think so.

Ivan...I will call you on Monday to order a cable from you.
in addition, I would like to spend some money and would like to start with your opinion on a few things to point me in the right direction.

I welcome your call, and recommend you becoming a Subscriber; as silly as it sounds supporting AA goes very far in me reciprocating with discounts.
