Default WW Platinum Starlight USB user feedback

I recently installed the WW Platinum Starlight USB cable in my system and although it was expensive, it's high performance delivering 96k sampled files is allowing my DAC to achieve some superb sound in my system!

So far, I have listened/watched computer files of Bizet's Carmen with Zubin Mehta and Nuria Espert as Carmen and the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Live in Japan. Both sound WONDERFUL--life-like, natural sound timbres, high resolution, sound stage, and dynamics without adding any harshness with this cable.

For example in Carmen massed chorus scenes, large groups of singers are resolved clearly and cleanly without strain. Outstanding soundstage and tone is produced in the Brian Setzer, from fat, woody bass fiddle tone to the varied tone colors of Brian's guitars, to the accurate tone reproduction of the horn section and drums--the cable simply allowing my DAC to deliver the best, most listener involving, enjoyable live sound reproduction yet!

1/06/13 update

I've been listening/watching some DVD's of live performance concerts viva my computer and am still highly impressed and excited about the natural sound timbres and soundstage clues produced with this USB cable in my system! I know what natural acoustic instrument timbre should sound like--that is I've attended a lot of acoustic music concerts and performed in orchestras, jazz, folk and rock bands.

I listened to the Andrea Bocelli DVD, Under a Desert Sky, and this WW Platinum Starlight cable simply delivers--like listening to a live event--sweet, natural sounding vocal and string section tone that can touch your heart and emotions! Other instruments tone, like piano, guitar and harmonica are presented in a natural life-like way.

On the David Clayton-Thomas's DVD, You've the One, I'm hearing high resolution, rounded, life-like horn sounds, beautifully sweet and natural piano and Hammond B-3 organ tone, fat, rounded bass and guitar tones, and abundant soundstage clues--in other words, a lot like what you would hear at a good, live concert of music in this style. For the finale at concert's end, "Hi De Ho," David Clayton-Thomas brings out a large gospel choir of 55 voices. The WW Platinum Starlight USB cable helps my DAC realize the potential of the recording--reproducing the choir in high resolution with dynamics and without strain, with a full and natural tone!

Roger

Hi Roger, I too have had the same experience. One bit of advice would be to let the cable settle in the system as some digital glare/harshness will mellow as the cable gets some hours on it. This is not to say it sounds ordinary out of the box, as it certainly is a performer.
