I tried to order a pair of EL34's but United States does not seem like an option, at least trying to purchase on their site.
I corresponded with them last year. It will be a while before they will be available in the US.

So do all of the new infinite power supply (do I have that correct?) amps have diode rectifiers? How about the PSE models?

Yes, at least mine does. The IIPS circuit is/was an adaptation of Dennis' orginal conventional power supply. As such it lacks the chassis space and maybe the heater current to run tube rectifiers on both the regulated supply and the B+ supply. Now if you wanted to design an amp from scratch to have separate tube rectifiers on each stage you could. Border Patrol does this with their amps. Dennis' approach is a way to do something similar with limited chassis real estate and a reasonable cost. We have to keep reminding ourselves that the the PSE is a handmade in NC 10-20wpc SEP amp built point-to-point with very high quality components.

I recall a pict posted here by Analog Addict of a PSE chassis with both IIRPS and Tube rectifier. Not sure who ended up with it but it does seem to be a possibility.

I have nothing against SS rectification. Makes sense to me. I don't find that tube rectifiers have much impact on sonics, except in bad ways when there is not enough current.

Anyone know what Dennis' PSE amp develops when one uses KT150 or KT120 tubes? Still just around 20 wpc? That would be running those tubes very mildly.

Maybe AA will chime in, but I believe that he built a PSE45 with two tube rectified stages.

If I recall correctly, I believe it maxes out at around 20 or 24 watts. It is run pretty conservatively. The single tube models are run a lot hotter.

My KT88HO puts out the same amount of power with KT88's and 5AR4 as my PSE does with 6V6's.

Well, not exactly. Here's the PS schematic to the PSE 45 I recently finished. Please pardon the large gun oil stain. Apparently I can't resist laying down my papers on top of oily rags.

Anyway, that amp is a standard single rectifier with multiple filtering stages and a final voltage regulated stage that uses 3 VR tubes instead of Zener diodes.

OTOH, Tony has sent two chassis off to the powder coater that I believe will feature VR tubes as well...

He may know what the plans are for these, but I know Dennis has accumulated a supply of VR tubes for something......

Yeah, something I likely have to have.
