I plan on visitin some good Video stores and look for an HDM1 to Component, and see if I can somehow separate the audio from the video.

Dj AmTraX,
So, sonically it should be the same. That's comforting. Thanks
What I was trying to say was for you to run the AV cable to the C45 and only hook up the left and right audio connectors to one of the C45's RCA set of inputs. Don'y do anything with the yellow-tipped composite video connector. Connect the HDMI cable from the PS3 to your TV. If the supplied AV cable is not long enough to reach your C45, Radio Shack and others have female by female RCA connector adapters that you can use to extend the AV cable by connecting it and another set of RCA interconnect cables together.

The PS3 will send video only via the HDMI cable after you go into the setup menu and set it accordingly. The AV cable will send analog audio to your C45.

Yes, this is also my understanding. I don't think that you would hear a difference between them.... The functionality is really the difference..

Is the TM-1 tuner module important to you?

Thanks John, now I get it. Okay, that is certainly worth trying. So use the HDMI for video and the AV Multi-Out for audio. Makes sense and I think that should work. I appreciate that.

thughes,

I don't have a TM1 installed in the C45 but I have given it some thought? I'm gonna guess that if it is, that I will not have that possibility with the MX120? That is something that I also have to keep in mind.

Great! Please let us know how it works.

By the way, I wasn't trying to discourage you from getting an MX120 if that's what you really want. I have one myself and like it a lot. However, if you're not planning on listening in anything other than stereo, the C45 should work well with your PS3.

Again, you may have to play with the PS3's system settings a bit to get everything working right. If you need any assistance with that, let us know.

I have the C45 and I just handle all the video routing separately. Yes, the TM-1 module is a nice upgrade that I don't think fits the MX120.

I have the TM-1 in mine, and it was one of the reasons I chose the C45 in my two channel system.

You are correct about the MX120 not taking a tuner card. The MX119, on which the MX120 is based, would take a TM1, but the MX120 has its HDMI inputs in the location where the TM1 went on the MX119.

WOW, I didn't know the MX120 can't take a tuner card. That really sucks. I have a MX119 with tuner card and it sounds pretty good for radio.
