As I mentioned in the review, I used my trusty Radio Shack Sound Pressure Level Meter. I tried to maintain a constant 92db.

Just noticed that you went back and added to the 2301s. Nice.

Excellent Mike -- and a very thorough update on the turtles. I appreciate the attention given as I have no experience with the xa160.5's and Classe in the environment you have.

Thank-you

Happy Holidays Folks,

Bob

Thank you Joe and Dan. Trust me, it's a lot of fun for me. I hope everyone enjoys the review as much as I enjoyed conducting it.

I'm one who is never married to equipment (as is evident by all the changes), so I call it as I see it. At this level and in this day and age, there is so much great gear, and really, at this price point, almost no bad gear. People just have to pick their flavor based on the characteristics of room, speaker matching, music type, their propensity for tubes, etc.

I agree with your statement above. We all have great gear, and not disparaging other peoples stuff is probably the best thing about the people on this forum

Mike, congrats on a well written and enjoyable review.
