Default new pre C8 vs....? 2300 2500

Hi, someone was lucky enough to compare these pre ?

C8 vs 2700 ... I did, and I preferred the 2700 by a good bit.. not so much audible difference, as I didn't hear one... but the user interface and styling of the c8 is a bit too much for me.

I will say this. The light box or clock would find its way into my room long before the C8, MC830, MA252, MA352, MTI100 and dare I say MC1502 or MC901 ever would..

See a theme?

I had one on order but I wanted the DA2 which was backordered until the end of December so I ended up getting an open box C2700 instead. If the C8 is anything like the C2700 it should be amazing. Personally I also really like the way it looks almost more than the C2700.

Yeah, the new McIntosh gas grill/exposed tube box design is turning me off too. They look like a number of DIY amp & preamp kits on the market.
