Need your advice...
Advice appreciated. : )
I'm fighting the strong urge to buy some PMC IB2i speakers. I've owned OB1is in the past and loved them. But, the speakers I have I like very much plus they fit my room and look superb in my listening room. I don't want to make a mistake here. The speakers I currently have are dynaudio c1 MkIIs. My room is 12' x 17' with 10' ceiling. My amp will stay which is the NAD M2. Thoughts? Here is a video of my current system: [ame]http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uUunCc139k0&feature=plcp[/ame]

jaxwired.......The PMC IB2i speakers are in a whole different league than your present Dynaudio c1 MkIIs. You will get a deeper, richer low frequency response, and the PMC soft dome midrange reproduces a completely life like presentation, not to mention it has a dynamic capability unlike few other midrange drives. The specially developed Seas/PMC soft dome tweeter is the perfect match for the other drivers. In my opinion, the PMC IB2i will quickly erase the Dyn's from your memory.

Based on what I've read over the years, Dynaudio (my neighbor has a pair, though they are floorstanders) have a more analytic and neutral sound than PMC. So it all depends on what your ideal sound for your system is like.
BTW, what Jdandy says, confirms the many other experiences with PMC that people have mentioned. Alberto |
