Dom.......Oh yeah. I've been out on Christmas Eve several times looking for that "one last thing". I prefer to shop online now and wait for UPS to deliver. Much easier and far less stressful.

We like the online shopping benefits too but since the Aussie dollar is down, domestic retail sales will be up this year...

Moves to slap GST on overseas online shopping purchases worth less than $1000 will be on the government's agenda for next year. Weaker dollar & no duty free threshold. Not so good for the HiFi shopper.

Steve.......I drove 55 miles to the Oaks Mall in Gainesville today so Marlene could enjoy the afternoon wandering around and shopping. I encourage her to pick her own Christmas gifts and I pay for them. That way I know she is getting exactly what she wants for Christmas and no returns required after the holidays are over. It's bad enough to drive 110 miles round trip to shop at the mall, buts it's worse when I have to do it twice for a returns. We had a decent time and ate out on the way home. That's my annual trip to the mall.

The holiday clock is ticking.

I got my tree lights and decorations up today. There's a nice wreath on the front door. The glitter and lights sure put a nice Christmas spirit in the air. We already have some wrapped packages with bows put out. I picked up a quart of eggnog today. Crown Royal and eggnog makes a nice after dinner drink. You can't drink too many because they are filling. Real tasty. Merry Christmas everyone.
