Bought my first "Fancy Cable".

I ordered a Grover IC the other week and it arrived 3 days ago.

I placed it between my MX110 and MC275. It replaced a Blue Jean cable I bought for 30 or 40 dollars and was just ugly looking really. With the MC275 you really see the cables. Plus the sound seems a little "thick".

Apparently these cables need quite a bit of burn in. Right away I noticed (or thought I did) more "sizzle" and increased sound stage, I actually feel like a right idiot writing these words. Maybe a little hot on some things, but they are brand new and as said need some time I suppose. I should get one for my CDP, but I am kinda Anti CD's lately.

I want to try some lower end PS Audio power cords now. I need to figure out the safest way to replace my cord on my MX110 since it looks like lamp cord and is hard wired. I've read more difference is made with the pre amp IC than the amp since the amps are brutes and sucks the power through. I've also the real difference is made in the connectors, with a very tight fit and all.

Give it a bit of time, it should get smoother, most of them do. Or like others think, your ears will burn in.

Plenty of good praise on Steve Hoffman forum about Grover cables. Would like to try them, along with about a dozen others....

I'm thinking of giving his speaker cables a go too.
