Back in the day Dynaudio use to provide all their raw drivers to us DIY'ers so at one time I built a pair of subs using 4 12" 30W100's. I used 2 12" inch woofers per box in six cubic foot sealed boxes each per channel. They did okay but it wasn't long before I determined they were better suited as woofers rather than subwoofers.

I kept those for a long time and even refoamed them all once. The second time came around they needed refoaming I decided it was finally time to upgrade to a sub with higher Xmax. Ones I replaced them with easily put the 30W100's to shame on low bass. But hey I went to a pair of 14inch drivers with higher xmax and power handling so it was expected. The old 30W100 is still a hard driver to beat on bass sub-bass aside.

I used to own a BM9 SII to go with my Sapphire (both sold). They worked together quite well, though it would be nice for the sub to have remote control (such as B&W's with bluetooth apps) so that the parameters can be adjusted from my armchair.

I've got two Sub500s paired with my Temptations. What a difference they make to the overall richness of the sound. Totally transparent and cannot be localized.

The 52SEs were my first exposure to Dynaudio. I absolutely loved them but sold the reluctantly when I got my Sf Cremona Auditor Ms. I would not hesitate to give the Danes another try. I am looking at the Special 40s now.

I just purchased this sub woofer to pair with my LS50's. Once I found its 'sweet-spot' (best crossover frequency), I found it complements them very well. Now, I was going for subtly to add to the system, not thumping loudness. In the low setting I have it on, it pairs very nicely (almost as if the speakers were providing that level of bass). I would highly recommend.Visit Audioreputation.com and find more details.

Is the JL audio sub good pairing with Dynaudio?
