My music room is 10x25ft. I listened more to female acoustic vocals. Not much with rock.

You really can't go wrong with either; my choice was the E470.

Welcome to AA!

If you like music with female voices, go for the E-600.
Just a tad more refined than the E-470.

Hmmm........... would say that if you are not listening at distances more than 10-12' from your speakers you are good with the E-600. If you are listening further away than 12' you might be better off with the additional power of the E-470. Cannot imagine that you would be disappointed with either. You are putting together a great system. Enjoy!!

I have the SHL5Plus too and using the Accuphase A30 but find it way under power. Go for the e470. The mids and high are fluid but the lower mid and bass is all muddled up if you go loud. 30watts are but 30w no difference class or whatever class.

Thank you Watts4. I am also considering a A-46 match with an Exasound E22 to use it as a preamp and a DAC at the same time since it got good reviews at the Axpona show (Magnepan+Pass Labs+Exasound) . What do you think guys?

watts4 I don't fully agree with the statement that there is no difference between class A/B or class A. The Accuphase class A amplifiers deliver a lot of current even to 1 Ohm.
It all depends on speaker match.

I compared the A46 and A70 to a P500 and a Goldmund Mimesis Mono Block Evo into JBL Everest using a C270 pre and a Goldmund Pre

The A70 and A46 had better soundstage through the Goldmund Pre , the A70 had better depth and the P500 had a nice heft
Accuphase is probably my next purchase
I went back to buy the P500 to replace my McIntosh in the theater , but alas it was sold

The SHL5+ are an easy load (6Ohm min), but are relatively insensitive at 86db so IMO it was a good idea to get the E-470 vs the E-600, as they benefit more from the higher voltage swing of the E-470 into higher impedances, than from the class A E-600 that can provide more current into lower impedance, but has less volts available.
