I would say the the Jan Allaerts and Accuphase C37 is a perfect combination: I would characterize the C37 as richly detailed, textured, refined, but still perfectly neutral. In that sense, the C37 plays to the strengths of the Allaerts in terms of a natural rich tonality with perfect top end extension and without the high frequency rise so often seen in other MC cartridges. Finally, the expansive and deep soundstage of the C37 highlights the huge stage presented by the Allaerts.

I had been running the AD30 phono in the E600 and got the chance to try the C37 at home before ordering. While the AD30 is excellent, there was no way back after listening to the C37. After running the Allaerts MC1B for over 9 years with various excellent phono stages (Pass Xono and XP15, Vacuumstate JLTI, Shindo Giscours + A23 T2 step-up, Leben RS30EQ + A23 T2 step-up), I would say that the C37 is my favorite with the Allaerts.

The local distributor in Canada carries both Jan Allaerts and Accuphase, just another confirmation that it is an excellent match.

yes, I want to change the voltage.

The parallel merchant told me that they had switch the voltage at 120V, and I just want to check it's right.

So, could anyone show your pictures that under of E-600 ?

Thanks.

Hi,

Mine is 230Volt, but I don't want take the cover off to take a picture of the wiring. (also my E-600 is in the Netherlands and I am in Australia at the moment)

I know it's no problem for an Accuphase "expert" to change the voltage, but it's not easy to find any info as Accuphase don't approve of this. (to make grey import more difficult)

There has been a thread, even on this site, with somebody having wiring diagrams, but I did not find it back yet.

If you search on google can you can find the picures of an A-46, containing 100V versus 120V difference
But please don't take this as a reference, purely for info, I don't want to be responsible for wrecking somebody's amp.

Really disappointing the attitude of Accuphase.
People move around the world and they want to take their kit with them.
Why do these manufacturers always assume the worst of their customers?
We have legitimate reasons to change the voltage.
I move from Canada to the UK with my Classe amp.
I emailed Classe how to change the voltage and they sent me detailed instructions.
I asked the Martin Logan distributor the same question and they were extremely rude!
They accused me of all sorts of things.

Better still, just have a protected slider switch on the back so you can change the voltage without opening the amp. Doing that with some manufactures' kit (opening the unit) will void your guarantee which I'm sure under UK law (at least is illegal)

Rant over ;-)
