I haven't heard the Clear, but I own their big brother Utopia and enjoy them very much. I sold my HD800 and Hifiman HE-1000 after picking up the Utopia if that tells you anything.

I own these. I was going back and forth between this model and Utopia. I bought Clear and am absolutely thrilled with them. The reviews you read are dead on. They are not quite as detailed as Utopia, but they are close and very very musical. Highly recommended!

Unfortunate that they did not stick with the 32ohm impedance of the Spirit Classic so they would be more portable amp friendly.

I've owned the Utopia and the Elear. The Clear splits the difference right down the middle. It is an impressive headphone for sure. A quality source does them even more justice. Yes, I have listened to the Clears. They are closer to Utopia than the Elear in my opinion. I do not own any Focal headphones as I found my nirvana with the bio-cellulose drivers of the ZMF Auteur Blackwood which sounds less hyper-detailed but much more organic, wholesome and musical to my ears.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Just ordered the Clears.

I looked at the ZMF Auteur Blackwood, but I felt the Clear's higher sensitivity would be a better match for my Chord Mojo.

Focal is offering a discount on the Elear, Clear, and Utopia models through many authorized dealers. Prices are: Elear $700, Clear $1100 and Utopia for $3000.
