Just got back from my dealer. I should have my new C1100 in a few weeks. Thanks everyone for the advice.

Is there an emoji for having your arm twisted completely up behind your back?

I picked up my new C100 from my dealer yesterday. I've only had a chance to install it at this point and check for functionality. One thing that I have noticed is that I am getting a loud "pop" from both channels of my speakers whenever I first power up the system using passthru mode from my MX121. If I start the unit directly into 2-channel mode, there are no issues. I'm running the current v2.01 firmware on the system. I'm planning to investigate further tonight, checking my connections etc and I've already notified my dealer who is putting a call in to McIntosh. If anyone has suggestions for other things to examine, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendation to upgrade to the C1100. Everything that was said about this pre-amp was spot on. It is a huge improvement in sound quality and resolution for my system. I can't believe that I waited so long to upgrade. Needless to say the C1100 will be sticking around.

Congrats. It’s a phenomenal preamp. Enjoy.
