Default New Turntable Installed And Ready To Go

Well the new Music Hall 9.3 is up and running. A couple little glitches but on the whole not too bad. I like some of the upgrades over my previous Music Hall tables. The spikes that go on the bottom is a nice touch and the little discs they sit on keeps the surface from being scratched up. Taking the motor and decoupling it from the plinth is a big advantage when trying to keep down surface noise. Here are a few pictures.

Very nice table. Might I suggest getting it off the glass top? I see you also have a Rotel RCD1072 - a proverbial giant killer.

It's really early to say, but I like what I've heard. I was worried about my pre amp not being able to do the cartridge justice. I went from a MM cart. to a LX MC cart which took some adjustment in the gain and load. I'll probably get another phono pre and do a little comparison.

Jack - Nice (also like the print behind your TT). If you would be interested in a match to your Cary SLP-03, the Cary PH-302 phono-preamp is terrific. Uses built-in Lundahl SUTs https://www.lundahltransformers.com/moving-coil-input/ for the MC stage. If I wasn't slowly going thru a physical down size (the Ray Samuels F-117 is a very small giant-killer) I would still be listening to mine.

I see a DiscWasher box on the shelf. Try distilled water, some IPA and a bit of Ilfotol.
