Every day after 10pm I am training my ears for the critical listening musics. My room is so quiet at night that I engaged more with my music and the Grills off makes wow difference.

It may be different, but the manufacturer probably designs the speakers to sound the way they want with the grills [the WAF and all]. You might like that extra [maybe] .5 or 1 dB of treble with the grills off. That doesn't necessarily make it better. It makes it your preference.

Have you enlisted a buddy to help you do numerous runs of a blind test? Have HIM keep score.

I dont think B&W testing their speakers with any grills on. I was watching youtube video by b&w and they dont test with grills on.

again, the youtube videos by B&W, they do not test their speakers with the grills on. Oops
