When I saw the title and clicked on the thread, I thought SHV had the same problem I had last summer until I called an exterminator.

Steve.......How are you liking the Crimson Trace green laser? Crimson Trace says the factory sets the sight. How accurate was it out of the box? Did you have to make adjustments and if so how did you do it? I haven't purchased my Crimson Trace green laser for my M&P Shield yet. I do have a 9mm laser bore sight that I used when I set up the XS Big Dot front and rear sights on my Shield. I plan to use the bore sight to zero my Crimson Trace green laser at 10 yards. Just curious how you zeroed your laser sight.

I have four laser systems and I think this is the best for it's intended use; it is part of the Shield rather than an "add on". I really didn't pay attention to how it was zeroed out of the box, I just played with the adjustment after I installed it. I initially zeroed the green dot about 5-8 yrds. to correspond with the iron sites on a wall in the house. At the range, zeroed at about 10 yrs., shooting off of a sand bag, not a big deal. I think that I will shoot a couple of hundred additional round then be more compulsive about the laser. IMO, being stable in the horizontal axis is more important then a few inches of rise or drop at 5, 10, 15 yrds. That is one thing that I didn't like about the Streamlight 69250 TLR-2, the laser wasn't para-axial to the bore so both horizontal and vertical impact point varied with distance.

I think you have a bad TLR-2, I own 3 of them and they are all on horizontal axis.

Thanks...Unfortunately it's installed on Alison's Glock and she is living in another city/state for a year doing trauma surgery. I'll check it out in a couple of weeks.
