Gentlemen, I can attest that the speakers in Jérôme's listening room are very well implemented. They beat the Harbeths 40.1 for me that evening.
And these Audio Notes are wonderfully built and emit delicious sounds.

Jerome, I am not sure if our paths will ever cross again (myself and Shindo) but I do have wonderful memories of the times with Monbrison and Cortese

I do regret selling them but you know how it goes in this hobby, always something better over that horizon and we keep flying towards that horizon like moth to flames.

I can say having seen and heard Jerome's system in person this past March that the pictures do not do justice to truly appreciating what he has. Very nice system and a very comfortable place to relax

I understand Serge.
Well my way of looking at the horizon is
to be there and here at the same time. Or if you wish I go to pick what's at the horizon and bring back next to my actual gear.
Since psychologically, "new" often means "better", I tend to test my different gear to my ears by keeping them side by side at least for one year. After one year of listening to A and B, I can be really sure of what I prefer.
This is how I chose the CCQs over the 2301's for example and how I chose the GAT over the Giscours. And this is how I chose Shindo over Halgorythme.
That is my way to know if the horizon is really " better " or just a mirage.
Anyway as years go by and experience is gained, I tend to be more and more discriminative and know more precisely what I am looking for.
And I can tell you that Shindo will never leave my home. One way or an other. For example I have a preamp in one system and power amps in the other system.
Seems to me that the day Shindo will be out of the home, then a huge part of my listening pleasure will be gone. For whatever reason.
Shindo is not for everyone but I remember so well the deep love you felt for this sound, and that you expressed so well, you and Alberto, that somehow, I feel
sad that you both went to other horizons.
Which is plain stupid because as you say, there are many great things in this hobby.
But I just cannot refrain myself from this feeling.
BTW what is your system now ? Only headphones or you have also speakers ?

Hello Jérôme,

Your TT looks to me like a VPI (?). It seats on a big woodblock. Could you elaborate on this platform? I suppose it has an isolation function.
Thanks.

Hello,

It is a JC VERDIER "La Platine". And it rests on a Pro Audio Bono Reference platform. Suspended.
