Default Stillpoints LPI a Winner!

I purchased an LPI a few weeks ago from Ivan. I was skeptical that this device was worth the purchase, it is.

I am not going to go into what all the differences are, this has been said time and time again. What I can tell you is that every Stillpoint product I have purchased has put a big smile on my face. Highly recommended.

Until the next Stillpoint purchase...

The clamp has by far been my favorite Stillpoints purchase, it performs exactly as described and has made a good difference with LP playback. Highly recommended.

There is no doubt that the spindle record weight is has a significant impact on the sound of vinyl. I have 3 different record weights on my VPI rim drive HRX. One custom made ebony, one HRX center weight and one Stillpoints LP 1. In almost all circumstances, the LP 1 stays on my table because, among other things, it dampens vibration of the vinyl which would otherwise travel up the stylus ---sort of like a poor man's vacuum hold down. Check out the underside of the LP 1 to see how this is accomplished. It does not dampen the sound of the LP but it does keep any tizzyness from invading the high end and ultimately makes my records sound more natural in all respects. My favorite turntable tweak.

I agree, if I'm sitting down and doing serious listening in the sweet spot, the LPI is always on the turntable. It's a bit pricey, but I found it to be a worthwhile tweak.

I love my Stillpoints LPI record clamp. For those who may have missed it, here is my Stillpoints Ultra LPI Isolator Review

Have a warranty issue to work thru on a piece of gear first , or I'll never hear a difference.
