While I do find it "improbable" for many reasons, I do allow some room there for that miraculous feat back in 1969. I'd love to be completely convinced it was true but unfortunately the deeper one looks into it, the shadier the whole thing becomes. I've also looked into the possible reasons for "faking" it and they do make sense as well given the period of time it happened and others involved in the space race.

On my gosh. The moon landings were hoaxes? Aliens in Area 51? Another shooter on the grassy knoll? Aliens built the pyramids? I work with NASA and astronauts and there is no BS there. In fact, one of my physics colleagues does experiments bouncing a laser off a tri-corner mirror the Apollo astronauts left there for just this purpose (looking for variations in gravity by measuring the position of the moon to centimeter accuracy). You can’t bounce laser light back off Moon dust. So the fact that to this day we still make use of a piece of equipment left on the moon by the Apollo astronauts should reassure you. We have been to the Moon.

Well aware of the mirror and I have no doubt about the lunar rover and orbiter missions as well as mars rover missions. A man did not have to be on the moon to leave the mirror there, just like the Chinese are on the dark side of the moon right now doing their own thing. That was all possible and very plausible.

But a man on the moon in 1969? Not so much... but like I said, I'd love to fully believe.

As far as aliens go, many astronauts are not hesitant to mention the words "extra-terrestrial". Whether they are at Area 51 or not I have no clue but I think this day and age knowing as much as we know about the abundance of galaxies, stars and potential planets in the "habitable" zones it would be kind of silly to think we are alone even if the odds of coming across an intelligent space conquering species are probably rather small. If the chances were zero, we wouldn't be spending all the money and effort gazing up at the sky with all our telescopes and listening in to catch their signals while spending some rather serious $$$ on those projects.

The reflectors we use in these experiments were left in Apollo 11,14 and 15. We know where the astronauts went and that is where the mirrors are. These ones were not installed by landers. They weren’t designed to be. You can’t fake this stuff with just NASA involved. There is a large community of physics professors at Universities doing these lunar ranging experiments. We are not all involved in a conspiracy and cover up I can assure you. Suggesting otherwise is offensive.

Yes. Serious scientists believe there is alien life out there. The odds are great. Just not not that has visited here. The distances are too great.

It’s funny to me that you can believe aliens have been here but we can’t make it to the Moon.

I seriously doubt professors and universities would be privy to such information, as much as they would like to think they are in the know... It's not like governments all over the globe did not ever commit covert operations and many a conspiracy theory became the truth later. I say that with utmost respect for scientists and would never imply there is a mass conspiracy between scientists and NASA

As far as mirrors, well, the French did build a pair that were delivered by the Soviets and their Luna probes without a man stepping foot on the moon. Does that prove or disprove anything?
