Hum.... Yes, I suppose that they sound different. I never placed Krell into the musical products. They have punch and dynamics and terrific bass but lack finesse and sweetness to me.

I like the general concept of the Magico Q Series. Although I did not think the Q5's sounded as good at last years RMAF as some who heard them, they were still pretty darn good speakers. I am looking forward to hearing the Q3's and Q1's at this years RMAF as they may be better suited for display in a hotel room. I would like to hear the Q1's & Q3's being driven by something I am more familiar with than than Spectral gear this year.

Yes, I agree that the older Krell gear lacks that sweet sound, have you heard any of the current Krell models this year?

Sorry to sidetrack Q1 thread for a little bit, but it is sort of related to Magico and how it sounded with Krell

Jim, you'll probably like the Q3 if it's setup right. I'm interested in listening to a pair of Q1, and they just started carrying Magico here in town a few months ago
