Default Balanced Audio Technology VK-655 SE

Spotted as early as CES 2011 and as recently as RMAF 2012, this amp is still not on BAT's web site! You can find them for sale on various dealer sites. This just seems odd to me. To steal a football line, "Come on, man!"

Randy,

I agree. You'd think by now something would be up on their website. It does make you wonder what's up. I am sure the amp sounds great. I'd love to hear it especially on my TADs.

Not to dig up a dead thread, but as recently as yesterday there was still no sign of a VK-655 SE (or non-SE) on the BAT website.

There is no problem with driving a 2 Ohm load, the amps are always stable, as there is no global feedback in them. We do not specify the power into 2 Ohm, it will nod double the 4 Ohm number, due to the power supply capability.

hi Victor,

we ahvee been trying to get a sense of how the 655se sound compared to your 55se and REX power but seems there has been close to very few user review.

there has been a demo unit just arriving where i am located but that unit is expected to take close to forever to break in (initial plug in does not sound like its nearing its full potential)

Would appreciate sonically how it appeals to you ... vs the 55SE / REX Power.

Simply very difficult to go the tube way as there would be more than 36 tubs if I were to use the REX PRE+POWER

So gonna give BAT SS a try ... my speakers are TANNOY WESTMINISTER SE, HARBETH M30 and Vandersteen Quattro...

insights appreciated ...
