Wilson sophia vs kef 207/2 or sub control

Since getting the esoteric k01x i have never heard my kefs sing better. I have the perfect listening experience with acoustic music, classic jazz in particular and classical ( minus the organ). When it comes to electronic ( kitaro, vangelis) or progressive rock (ELP, yes, et) or pipe organ, i know im missing out. The kef goes down to 40hz.

So, i think there are a couple of options. I could get a sub controller such as the jl audio crx 1 (i believe), but im concerned about introducing more circuitry after the k01x signal. Has anyone tried this path? The other path is to switch to speakers that have deeper bass (lets just use 10k budget or so, used). The Sophia 3 falls in that range, and i believe the specs go down to 20hz. Question is whether that would make a difference or not. Thoughts? Any other speakers in that range (used) i should be considering, or should i just go with a sub controller? Amp i use is the mc452.
