So has anyone heard this amp? I am curious how it sounds in comparison to the Devialet amp.

I've been using the Ayre 5 series separates: preamp + amp.

I'm wondering how does this new integrated compare with what I'm using.

Quite a review in Stereophile. Art Dudley called it one of his favoritie amps. Hopefully he will try the VX-5 now.

The German magazine Steroplay has tested both.
Ayre AX-5 - 61 points
Devialet - 60 points.

Art Dudley in his Stereophile review said "HIS" rerview sample accepted banana plugs and he hoped all production units would as well.

Friend of mine has it, for a couple of months now, and he is waiting for second official upgrade. I am not saying that it means something, but it is little bit strange, it seems like non finished product was released on market
