Default It's Been Two Months...

It's been 2 months since I have listened to my Strads. , I had forgotten how impressive these speakers are . I have been at my place in Florida where I just have SF Guarneri Mementos (no sub.) with just a sonos amp. driving them, the sound is much thinner than I am used to plus there are 2 walls of glass doors/tile floor which makes my apple airpods sound like a audiophile speaker in comparison. Needless to say when I came home today in the middle of a snow storm I warmed up the C2300 and 501's for an hour then sat down with the fireplace going, some hot coffee and Linda Ronstadt vinyl. Her vocals on "My Funny Valentine" playing on the Strads. gave me goose bumps. My system is made up mostly of 9 year old components yet they sound like new to me.

That is a perfect example of how quality ages gracefully.

Glad you are having some time with your other system!

They old adage "They don't make them like they used to" comes to mind. Welcome back to snowy Pa.

David
See, you now understand why I don't enjoy going to Florida.

David, you'll get plenty of exercise with the snow shovel! More muscle groups than a run on the beach!
