Bluesound Node 2

I'm getting a Bluesound Node 2, perhaps even tomorrow, because my hi-fi dealer is selling them off cheap to make way for the new 2i. Seems like an ideal entry point.

I'm a newcomer to streaming, however, and I definitely need some guidance from you experts. I read through the "User Guide," such as it is, and I still have no idea how to use the Node 2. They don't even tell me where to get the app for my Android phone to control it (assuming that can actually be done without some buying some Bluetooth interface for the Node 2). Once I get it under control, I still don't know how to set it up with whatever streaming service I want to use. Assuming that's a paid one (as is likely to get high-fidelity sound), I'm so ignorant that I don't know what to look for.

A tutorial on using this unit in context would be really nice, but I haven't found one so far. Any hand-holding would be greatly appreciated! -- Clark2

So let's see if I got this right:
1) Download the player app to the Android.
2) Not mentioned, but already have connected the Note 2 to the network, to which the Android must also be connected. Or does that matter?
3) Link the app to the Note 2 through the Android and over the network.
4) App brings up a list of streaming sites from which to select. What if the one you want isn't on the list?
Main Question: How is the phone communication with the Note 2? Through the app (and that through the network)? No Bluetooth needed?

Hi Clark2,

So it looks like you have the Node 2 connected to the internet and paired with an Android device (either phone or tablet). If the particular streaming site for which you are subscribed, is not listed, you can go Player > Configure Player > Configure Music Services and then add the service you have.
