Maybe I should try a $100 WireWorld USB cable. Perhaps that will fix the issue.

Speaking of cables, the only UK outlet for McIntosh in the UK ( North Scotland the noo) has an ample plenitude of Big Mac gear, and in the side scrolls for recommended support gear, I look up a connect cable ( Not Mac) and it was £2-3K!

Is this not utter madness? That's the same as a Naim Unite 2 hi fi system I'm seriously perusing.
