Default Sonus Faber Cremona M compatibility question ....

A fellow member/friend is thinking about buying my Pass XA100.5 amps. He has a McIntosh C2300 preamp and was asking me if my Pass XA100.5 amps will go well with the Cremona M floor standers. I believe they will but seek your advice for him and me. Opinions? Thanks!

Joe.......Those sweet Class A power amps go well with ANY speaker, and will sound fabulous driving the very fine SF Cremona M's.

I would love to hear Pass on the those Cremona M's. Let us know what he decides, Joe.

Thanks Dan. I bought the XA100.5's with the intention of geting a sense of their flavor and ultimately going for the Pass Xs-150's. The XA100.5's are way better than I expected. They sound tube-like and work great on my TADs. I don't think there is any speaker they can't drive.

I hope he speaks up. I believe he will be in heaven with that combo.

I heard a pair of Cremonas powered by MC601's and it was glorious. I can't imagine the Pass amps would be any different. I hate to say it, but if they are more tube-like like you said, that pairing should make some sweet, sweet music together!

Joe.......With the Cremona M's 91 dB efficiency, the Pass Labs XA100.5 power amps will rock the house.

Sweeter and clearer than the MC601's. I am definitely sure he will be happy.
