Should I keep my DVD-5910?
I've been thinking if I should sell my Denon DVD-5910. When I bought it I wanted it to be the last DVD player I will buy. It has everything you would want in a DVD player, but now that I've started toying with a Mac Mini as a Movie server, the Denon have not gotten much play. If I sell it, I will lose more than half of what I paid. The Mac Mini isn't nearly as good as the Denon, but it is more convenient. What should I do?

DJ.....I would keep it and use it as a backup if your Mac Mini should ever go down.

Good point! But I already have two SACD players and I don't have any DVD-A discs.
The bad part about this Denon is that it doesn't worth much on the used market.

Like computers most video products become throw aways. The technology changes to fast.

I've been the same with on the music side with my Mac Mini. My CDs mostly stay in storage, with the SACDs and LPs getting play for most critical listening. If you're going to sell it in the foreseeable future, sooner is probably better than later because the price probably will move in only one direction.

+1. The longer you wait, the less you'll get.

Mike, it is still a nice piece of gear.
Great video player for sure. You really can't see/hear a difference between the less-lossy DVD vs the ripped version?
