Last night Allan from Sonus Faber was putting the Aida through its paces with the Ref 750 and it sounded fantastic.

Do you know if people using the Aida's with Audio Research REF amplifiers (REF250 and 750) choose the 4 or 8 ohm taps? Although the Aida's are 4 ohm speakers, I have read that most people prefer to use the 8 ohm taps, even with 3 ohm speakers.

An interesting combination. Although the Musica is not powerful enough for the Aida's at full level, it sounds very detailed, refined and full bodied at adequate levels. Now playing the wonderful Keith Jarrett "The Carnegie Hall Concert". I was used to Keith humming but I had never noticed that the audience was coughing so much!
