Ok, these may be old hat to some of you, but they where new discoveries to me. These are tracks I discovered at RMAF this year, and have found them to sound stunning on my system.
Artist, Album, Track

1 Fink, Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet #6 Trouble's What You're In

2 Anette Askvik, Liberty #1 Liberty

3 Shelby Lynne, Just A Little Lovin' #1 Just A Little Lovin'

The discovery of "Fink" was worth the trip to Denver alone. I have not listened to track of his, that I have not loved so far!

I have owned two Fink albums for some time and will now give your suggestion a try.

Yes, the entire Shelby Lynne "Just A Little Lovin" is a fine album. It may surprise many who only know her from this "audiophile" friendly album that it is not indicative of her other albums or what she does in concert. I recently saw her live and the music was gritty and bluesy alt country. She has a fine voice.

Never heard of Anette Askvik until I played your suggestion. The "Liberty" track made me want to play the entire album. Really liked the little sax interlude.

It is interesting that we don't hear of more talented Scandinavian artists like Askvik, Sissel, Ane Brun abd First Aid Kit.

I will have to look more for this album. I own the Soundtrack from "The Last Temptation of Christ" and it appears different from what you suggested. Is the Peter Gabriel something different?

Your first two suggestions are excellent tracks off of fine albums. I have several Alison Krauss albums but not the one with "It Wouldn't Have Made A Difference". That is a new one for me and belongs up there with her other top songs.

Tony,

I agree with everything you said about Greg Brown, "Dream Cafe." Never heard of him before and like you said, he's a wonderful song writer. In a sort of, kind of way, he reminded me a bit of Johnny Cash, except Brown is a super fine vocalist.

E.S.T. Thank you for this one! I bet it's been 10 years since I've listened to them. It was like meeting old friends again. Thank you.

The Hawaiian group, "Hapa," is my favorite of your three suggestions for sentimental reasons. My parents had a condo on the big island near, south point. Not much to do but hang with the locals. It was a magical place and their ashes were scattered in the ocean 13 years apart. Loved it. Ordered multiple copies of the CD which I will give to my brothers and sister this Christmas.

Bob, thanks for sharing that, I’m glad it reminded you of good times. My wife and I have been visiting the big island every year for the last several years and I’ve fallen in love with Hawaiian music and the local culture.
