I have been playing around with various movie streaming services for about a year. VuDu looks and sound far better than Netflix, at least using the widgets in the LG bluray player I have; Netflix also has not traditionally offered newest releases on the streaming service. Amazon has been a disappointment, because although they claim the content is available online in surround, it is only if you buy the download, the streams, from what i can tell, are only stereo. If I am looking for something a little more obscure, i find that bouncing among the various services usually yields results.
I think VuDu did something to their surround processing recently- my ancient Meridian processor had no problem with DD+ but now i get drop out. Thus, I need a more current surround processor for my smaller 2d video system.
It's weird, i like having not to deal with physical media on the movie side, but am still a vinyl diehard when it comes to serious music listening. Go figure.

Way to go! I've been playing around with this too. Netflix in Oz is Quickflix. The streaming is OK, not as good as the quality & material on the Sony Entertainment Network though. The blu-ray queuing by post is great. As soon as the MVP891 arrives I will keep that queue racked up! BlueRay will still always rule, but lossy streaming is certainly catching up & sometimes it's hard to pick it.

Who is going to win the streaming wars I wonder. There are a few players here now like FOXTEL, Sony, Telstra T-hub, QuickFlix/Netflix....
