I installed a PS Audio Power Port in place of an extremely cheap outlet which actually had a questionable connection I noticed upon replacing. I noticed a huge difference in grip on the cord and a definite improvement in sound.

Anyone have the audioquest edisons?
So right now it's between furetech, AQ edison, and hospital /commercial outlets.

Does the Furetech require the expensive cover plate? Because I need a quad and they don't make one.
I'm looking for a black outlet because my wall is dark charcoal grey and I want it to somewhat blend in. I also need about 6 outlets.

Furutech are a 3 piece set; outlet, backing plate, and cover. They start a bit over $300 ea and go to $575 ea retail.

Your other two choices, are not even remotely close.

How do I get a plate cover that allows 4 outlet holes?
Is it perfectly compatible with normal home depot covers?

If i needed one duplex outlet receptacle this would be any easy choice. I think I need 8 between two systems.

You use the duplexes by themselves. the cover plate adds additional benefits and is advised but not required.
