What would you characterize as the key differences? One of the reason to move from Martin Logan was the fact that despite everything I have done they were always too bright and a bit harsh in the upper register in my setup. In most every other aspect they are great speakers.
With the extrema I lose bass and some of the magical transparency and detail of the ML.

Ronenash: very nice looking room. How tall is it? It looks grand maybe becase we
don't see the ceiling. The speakers actually seem to fit perfectly there. Congrats
on your system.

The ceilling is slanted between 11 and 12 feet. The Extrema is lacking in bass in this room. The mids are to die for but the top register is not as detailed and transparent as I am used to with my Martin Logans.
I am hoping the Elipsa's will bring back the detail and transparency I am missing now. If so, it would be the perfect speaker for me.

It would seem Elipsa speakers would be pushing the limits of your room size. Elipsa's, like all SF speakers, need a lot of space particularly removed from side walls.

That's what I have heard. My ML definitely need room and they worked great in my room although they are 32cm wide vs. the Elipsa 55cm width. The Lyngdorf room correction takes care of matching bass performance to the room (incidently one of my best investments in hign end audio).

I greatest concern is that I might not have a chance to demo the Elipsa in my room.
