Interesting, Randy. My experience parallels yours in terms of the same-apparent-volume change and the low-volume sonic improvement with Equinox 6 IC's in place. Since my c-j Premier 17's fixed-resistor stepped volume control increments and decrements in approximately 0.7db steps and the line stage's volume readout reads four steps lower with the WW cables in place, the setting change equates to an approximate 2.8 to 3db difference (along with the commensurate improvement at low volumes).
