Runco, among the leading companies dealing in luxury home theater products, announced their new Video Xtreme VX-33d and VX-33i projectors. The VX-33 projectors feature a three chip DLP light engine with 1080p SuperOnyx DMD as well as Runco’s proprietary video processing and scaling.
The VX-33i and VX-33d have been specially designed for an elite market, according to Runco CEO Gerry Parkel, adding “This project represents Runco's legacy in high-end projection… these new products give our dealers the solutions that will enable them to continue to own their markets”
Several different CinOptix lens options are available for both projectors, including the Runco exlusive CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope. CineWide lenses were developed specifically to fully reproduce 2.35:1 CinemaScope films as fully and accurately as possible.
The VX33i, the less expensive of the models, uses Runco’s Vivix video processing for everything from scaling to upconversion of standard definition content while still maintaining native formatting and has an MSRP of $49,995. The higher end VX33d, available at $59,995 features an external DHD video processor controller. Offering additional compatibility, ease of installation and a discrete, rack mountable form.
