Earlier this year I purchased the AR10:

For some reason I can't stop this AR compulsion. I self gifted and have one of these coming, a Springfield Armory Saint AR Pistol:

It might make it here before Xmas it might not. Even so, I think I'll enjoy this one a lot.

I’ve a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II.

After 8 years of military service, I wouldn’t want to be without one. I have other long guns. I like to have multiple options at hand in case they’re needed. Shooting them is also a hobby I enjoy.

Default Not EBR but extreme accuracy

My new Unlimited Rail Gun with a set of targets I shot a few months ago at a match in Visalia, CA. Each of those targets (100 yards), has 5 shots in them. The goal is to shoot the smallest group regardless where in prints on the target.

Gary - Nice. Is that .22PPC or something similar? Tell us more.

Will be shooting F-T/R with a Bartlein 5R 7.7" barrel on a Rem 40-X action for the 2018 season.

now that .018 group was impressive ! as for the .154, not so much, I've see Tony Boyer do that with his 6ppc LV bench gun.

Dave, your right that .154 is no big deal; however when you can shoot five targets under .154 it's a good day. I too have watched Tony shoot some great stuff. I've competed against him from his day one. Tony is by far the best shooter/competitor in Benchrest I have seen.

Glenn, my rail platform was built by Jay Young. I made a couple of mods but nothing performance wise. The barrel is a Krieger 13.5 twist chambered 6ppc, by me. The action is a BAT Neuvo with a Bix n Andy trigger. I used a Nightforce 55X scope. I make my own bullets and I used 30 grs. of Vihtavuori 133 powder and Federal 205 primers.

Dave about that .154. We started the match at 9 am with very little wind. I loaded my usual stuff for the first match and shot the .154. It wasn't good enough for the wind conditions. I the added more 133 powder for the next 4 targets and the load came to life; it was like I was shooting a different gun.

That aggregate is by far the best I have ever shot in over 40 years of competition and that includes practice. I shoot over 5,000 rounds a year, once in a while in all comes together.

That’s crazy talk! Five shots from 100 yards holding .154 is always impressive!

Very interesting. Can you point us to a primer on making your own high-power bullets? I cast several thousand soft-lead bullets for my BPCR rifles, but have no idea how one would make a high-power bullet.
