19" 1U Rack Space Enclosure
I have a couple pieces of equipment in my system that are 19" rack mountable. They just look out of place next to my McIntosh gear. I would like to dress up my Aurora 8 A/D and D/A converter.
Looking for any recommendations on an enclosure that will accommodate a 19" 1U piece of gear. |

Don.......Perhaps a cabinet shop could build you a single walnut veneered cabinet that both rack mount components could fit in together.

What Dan said!
It will look great. You could have a simple walnut box made to enclose the individual rack mountable components. I am using a 19" rack and have shelves for my Mc gear and use the rack mounting for other gear. You can see it in my link right below. I could get more fancy covering the screw mounts, but I never felt the need to buy the molding strips to cover the screws. My vintage Mc gear is mounted using their PanLoc mounts cut into a blank rack faceplate. Last edited by GaryProtein; 01-02-2014 at 05:00 PM. |

Dan & Gary....Thanks for the recommendations. If you search for audio cadenzas it returns more options. After some extensive digging I found a company in the Czech Republic called mixingtable.com. I would prefer to purchase or have a company build locally.
Here are some images of boxes that I think would look at home next to my gear. |

Maybe nice-racks.com could build to specifications.

Thanks for the heads up on nice-racks.com. It appears they offer lots of staining options.
