Default Devore Silverbacks Reference Ordered !

Hello folks !

I just ordered a pair of these, in Figured Anigre:

They will go in the main system with my Shindo gear.
Can't wait to get them !

Ivan, don't you think that we deserve a DeVore Fidelity forum ?

Many congratulations! Much like Alan Shaw of Harbeth, John Devore seems to design his speakers in a very non egotistic way, by which I mean they understand the idea of the speaker as part of the whole chain, and design speakers which will work perfectly whatever amplifier one has, rather than placing their own demands on the amp. For example, the impedance curve of a Martin Logan demands an amp that can cope, and one ends up picking the amp to fit the speaker. I have great respect for the Devore approach!! That he has demo'd over the years with Shindo and Leben suggests to me that he values musicality & naturalness over hi-fi cliches - may they bring you many hours of happiness

Jérôme.......The Devore Silverback Reference certainly has plenty of positive reviews. The specifications are impressive as well, particularly the impedance curve which is stated as always above 7 ohms and below 15 ohms. That's about as tube amplifier friendly as it gets. The Figured Anigre finish is lovely. Natureally, I will be watching for a full review. Here's wishing you many years of happy listening.

It is indeed, the cabinets are I believe made by the same gentleman that makes the Box Furniture racks, and those are also things of beauty imho!

Jerome, congratulations on the purchase. They will sound wonderful with your Shindo gear. The Devores are great speakers. I am loving mine. They do require a lot of break in time so be patient and you will be rewarded.
