I was hoping Burmester would work well with Wilson! Yep, it is a thought, 3 Burmester 911s! The three Burmers are equal in price to 2 D'Ag amps.

Pssst, Serge, go with BAT. A BAT VK-600 SE would laugh at the Sasha impedance curve.

I meant to say 3 channels worth of Burmester...

Well, it would be more than 2 mono D'Ags but less than 3 mono D'Ags.

That is a thought actually. Or I can do 3 Ayre MX-R's. I've always liked the MX-R/Sasha combo but today the D'Ag Momentum's proved themselves to be a step up and not in a small way.

I would love to hear the Sachas with your ARC set up, but that's just me.

Hi Serge,

How big is your room? I'm just curious because it is likely I will be downsizing my listening room to something like 13' X 25' X 9'.

Thanks,

Dave

Serge,

I can't say enough about the D.D. Momentums! I also A/B'ed the Ayre MX-R's with the D.D. Momentums (along w/the Wilson Sashas, Ayre KX-R preamp, Ayre QB-9 and Transparent Ref. XL [MM2] cabling), and as much as I loved and admired the Ayre MX-R's, the D.D. Momentums just gave more of everything, and then some.

BTW, what preamp, source and cabling did your dealer use?

I ended up busting my amp budget big time when I ordered the D.D. Momentums.

As far as I know, 'amati' has a pair of D.D. Momentums already, and mine are on the way. It would be great if you decided to get 'triplets', then hopefully there'ed be more AA members who jump on the Dan D'Agostino bandwagon, and then we could ask Ivan to consider starting a dedicated D.D. thread!

Take the plunge!

Philip

Philip, Bryston gear other than the Momentum's driving the Sasha since I was there to listen to Sonus Faber strads with the same Bryston 14B I have in my theater. This is not the first time I heard the Momentum's. First time was with ARC preamp.

By the way, I was told Mr.D'Agostino made some small improvements/changes since they first came out. I heard the freshly updated pair.
