I like to buy sophia 3 also the watch center, but the price of the center is almost 70% of a pair sophia , both use same tweeter.
actually I can buy sasha instead of sophia plus center.
I just think the cost should be more reasonable if the price of the center is around 50-60% of a pair of sophia 3 !

I appreciate the sound of Sasha's too, don't get me wrong. Wilson Audio is definitely plows its own path in speaker design. From pure cosmetic perspective - they are definitely give a contemporary/modern art vibe. Just not every room design can support that. I personally, used to wood finish on my speakers, whereas Wilson Audio is more of an automotive finish. I like the black and Dark Titanium finishes if I had to pick. My g/f comment was actually in response to me saying that Sophia is on my list of speakers to consider. Then again, she doesn't mind the "door" look of Magnepan, while another women walked in and said that while Magnepan is the best speaker she've heard, she would never let them in their house. To each her own.
Us guys, once you dim the light - the main factor is the sound. And WA speakers sound really nice.

i too love the ''tool'' look of wilson speakers vs the 'furniture' look of many others.
after all they are precision 'tools'

If you ever want to debate over what's ugly in regards to speakers just use the shoe analogy, "those pair of shoes"!

Default mounting watch center on ceiling

I just recently replaced my Thiel 7.2/Levinson 335 front speaker/amp combo of my HT with Sasha/ARC Ref 150. Will be using for both 2 channel listening and HT. I also moved the Thiel smart sub up to the family room and replaced with 2 JL F212. I currently still have the Thiel Powerpoints up for center and surround powered by a Proceed HPA3 I do not want to have a center channel on the floor and was wondering in anyone has tried mounting the watch center to the ceiling...likely upside down. I have 10 ft ceilings and use a Runco 61" plasma for TV watching....with a 108" Stewart that drops down for movies. Thoughts?

Yet many of these speakers that I questioned the looks on ended up sounding really good!

Being the daughter of the Owner/Founders and designer of Wilson Audio's products, I obviously prefer the look of Wilson Audio (especially the WAMM, even though as a child my friends would ask if they were "robots"). After working at Wilson Audio for several years, I also have a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship put into every one of Wilson Audio products.

Wilson Audio isn't everyone's "cup of tea", and you know - that's OK

Debby,

Very eloquent post and quite apropos.. if I may say so... while many audiophiles speak of 'sound'.. we actually most of the time listen with our ears..and eyes.... so esthetics becomes a matter of personal preference...

I've yet had the opportunity to hear WA speakers... and I am confident they are as good as their fans claim.. (at their price point, they better be)...

Personally, I'm not entirely crazy of their look... but I tend to be more of a tradionnalist... and they are beyond my affordability level.. still,.. I just thought I would let you know.. I appreciate how you stated that!..
